Pattern making

The pattern making workshop is equipped with spaces and tools for making patterns.

You can draw patterns by hand using cardboard basic patterns as an aid and then shape the pattern to the correct size and type according to the model required.

The pattern can also be shaped to the correct size by using fabric to shape the clothes over an appropriately sized dummy and then draw the pattern onto paper.

There is also a workstation in the pattern making workshop which can be used to digitalise paper patterns if you want to process the pattern using pattern-making software. The electronically processed pattern can be printed out on a special pattern printer.

Shaping patterns electronically is done by computer using Gerber AccuMark pattern making software. You need to take a course in order to use the pattern-making software.

During the day, the pattern making workspace is mainly reserved for pattern-making teaching.
