Sculpture
The sculpture workshop provides space for different kinds of sculpture and installation art as well as the opportunity to develop practical studio skills which enable you to transform concepts into physical forms. The sculpture workshop is a central part of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture’s common teaching unit (YoYo) whose courses are mainly held in workshops.
The sculpture workshops are located on the Arabia and Otaniemi campuses. At the moment, the Arabia workshop concentrates on working with wet plaster and clay work, while at the Otaniemi workshops there is equipment for working with wood, metal and electronics. Both campuses also have spaces for working with live models. The idea is to expand practices by applying different technical and material approaches in collaboration with other workshops in Aalto University such as the Fablab workshop and the Design Factory.
